My interest in photography goes back to the days of instamatics and flashcubes. Of late, I have been captured by the opportunities that digital photography provides, particularly, the fostering of new landscapes from disparate, usually unrelated elements. I am interested in how we perceive and react to the unexpected. I seek to draw the viewer in and allow them to divine the relationships of the elements.

I am intrigued with scale. The very large and the very small seem to be inextricably linked. Crystals and skyscrapers share structural design. Ghostly quantum particles share similarities with incomprehensibly large celestial bodies. The portion of the universe we are privileged to perceive is only a hint. The challenge, as I see it, is to give these apparently infinite vagaries of the universe a personal and spiritual priority.

All of my work is digitally based. These pieces are one of a kind original art work. Every element of every piece is from my collection of photographs. The software used is simple and freely available. These images are produced using consumer quality digital cameras and professional quality Giclee process printing on canvas or fine quality paper.
